Becoming a KindMark member is invitation-only.
A KindMark is worth something only because the people who award it are credible and accountable. If anyone could become a member, the mark would mean nothing. So there is no open signup — membership is closed by design.
Founders are hand-selected
A small founding group is chosen directly by KindMark from real-world reputation — veteran service people whose word already carries weight. Founders are seeded by an operator, not by signing up.
Everyone else is vouched in
After the founders, the only way in is a vouch: an active member invites you directly, staking their own standing on your judgment. Your standing as a member is tied to the member who brought you in. There is no application form and no way to buy your way in.
What happens after the invitation
However you get in — seeded or vouched — the door is the same. An invitation brings you to a short induction: a walk through the standard you’re holding to, a practice stamp so your first real mark isn’t your first attempt, and a pledge you type your name to. Only then are you conferred your Keeper number, the one that rides on every mark you make. It’s earned at the end, never handed out at signup.
